The Stringbands These Days are Very Similar to the Fancy Brigades. Large Props. Lots of Movement. Small Suits. No Back Pieces. The Parade is all About Television Now. And the Best way to Watch the Stringbands is TV. It’s Just a Matter of Time before They Join the Brigades in Doors. But let’s Hope That Doesn’t Happen in the Future. The Mummers Parade is a Traditional outdoor Event. Let’s make it a Parade for the People Again. And let’s not forget What it is Supposed to be about. A Fun time on New Years Day
