Someone recently posted a cool British newsreel featuring the Mummers Parade and Rose Bowl Parade on YouTube.  I believe the newsreel is from January 1937 based off of the five second news clip at the beginning of the video.

I did a little research and I found that in January 1937, despite German government assurances to the French, tensions arose in Spanish Morocco upon the unsubstantiated news of the landing of German forces in the colony. There was, however, little doubt that German technicians were fortifying military positions and exploiting mining operations in Spanish Morocco.
