It’s autumn in Philadelphia and we are in the season of pumpkins, scarecrows, hay rides and Mums. Below is a list of my top 5 String Band Farm themes.  Let me know in the comment section below what should be added to the list.

1) Barnyard Boogie – Ferko String Band (1993)
A powerhouse of music and energy. The awesome egg carton reveal puts this theme at the top of my list. One of the best theme’s of the 1990’s

2) The Scarecrows’ Hay Day – Quaker City String Band (1985)
First place performance by QC. The presentation and dancing pumpkin head scarecrows are top notch.

3) Back in the Hay – Quaker City String Band (2009)
This theme could easily be number 1 or 2 on the list. Great dancing, props and musical arrangement. Crows eating giant ears of corn like a typewriter is a very clever spot.

4) Barnyard Moosical – South Philadelphia String Band (2013)
Underrated performance. First class props and costumes. The banjo playing cows makes this theme really memorable.

5) The Fields Are Alive – Avalon String Band (2014)
Very entertaining show. The band looked and sounded great.
