I received a message today informing me that a Ferko String Band member will be competing on All Star Academy on the Food Network tonight at 9pm. All Star Academy is a cooking competition where home cooks have a chance to be mentored by one of four renowned chefs and win $50,000.
Below is the message I was sent:
Tonight at 9pm one of your own will be competing on the food networks new show All Star Academy. Bill Joerger III is a philly fire LT. Also a lifetime Mummer! His father started at 12 with Trilby.. His mom was one of the first women up broad street in 1980.. Many of his relatives are or were mummers or supporting staff.. Hope you’ll cheer him on!! He is with Ferko now
